Authors to Speak at Hawthorne Historical Society Holiday Open House
The Hawthorne Historical Society will hold a Holiday Open House at the Louis Bay II Library on Monday, December 11, at 7 PM. The event will be hosted by the members of the recently formed group, whose goal is to incite interest in the history of Hawthorne through community-building and educational efforts.
Don Everett Smith, Jr., author of Hawthorne (Images of America), and Linda S. Zimmermann, author of Ghost Investigator Volume 4 – Ghosts of NY and NJ, will give short presentations and sign copies of their recently published books on Hawthorne. Mr. Smith will speak about selected photos of Hawthorne from the last century. And, Ms. Zimmermann will talk about the murders in the Van Winkle house as featured in her book.
Refreshments will be served. All residents are welcome to attend.
