Holiday Open House a Success
Almost 50 people joined the Holiday Open House sponsored by the Hawthorne Historical Society last night at the Louis Bay 2nd Library. The event featured presentations and booksignings by authors Don Everett Smith, Jr. (Images of America – Hawthorne) and Linda S. Zimmermann (Ghost Investigator Volume 4: Ghosts of NY and NJ), followed by a bounty of holiday refreshments.
Attendees included members from all parts of town, and every segment of the community, including former Mayor Fred Criscitelli and the daughter of the late Mayor Louis Bay 2nd, Barbara Donohue, who generously donated framed photos of historic greater Paterson.
The Hawthorne Historical Society meets the second Monday of every month at 7p at the Louis Bay 2nd library and community center. All are welcome. For further information contact Jeff Gardner at 973-951-7081.
